Bistro 112 – A Summer Sojourn with a Sweet Treat at True Treats Candy

Please join the Bailliage of Greater Washington, DC as we venture to our annual summer sojourn. This year, we have two destinations:
We will begin our culinary adventure with a stop at True Treats Candy in Harpers Ferry, WV, only about an hour from Washington, DC. Susan Benjamin, Culinary Historian and shop owner will take us down memory lane (in the sweetest way) at noon. Susan will guide our exploration of the history of candy in the United States. The next part of our sojourn will take place about 15 minutes away in Shepherdstown, WV at Bistro 112 at 1:30pm. There we will enjoy a multicourse elegant luncheon created by Maître Rôtisseur Chef Paul Stearman. Many of you may remember that Paul was the Chef de Cuisine at Marcel’s in DC for 18 years. Our afternoon at Bistro 112 begins with a bubbling reception on a lovely outdoor patio (weather permitting) followed by a delicious meal in the dining room with wine paired by the chef.
